Choose the kind of SSD you are looking at and whether it has a heatsink. You see whether it fits the PS5 and which SSDs of the right kind cost least right now.
Sony requires a heatsink or heat-transfer sheet, at most 11.25 mm thick in all. For most SSDs below the name does not say whether one is fitted: check the product page.

Prices from the shops we compare. Nobody pays for a place. How we rank
On its own support page Sony lists what an extra SSD in the PS5 must be: an M.2 NVMe SSD with PCIe 4.0 (Gen4 x4), from 250 GB to 8 TB, in length 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 or 22110. With its cooling on it may be at most 25 mm wide and 11.25 mm thick: 8 mm above the board and 2.45 mm below. Cooling is required: a heatsink or a heat-transfer sheet. A SATA SSD does not fit.
We read the SSDs in the list from the product name: PCIe 4.0 and the size you choose. Whether a heatsink is fitted is in only about one name in ten. When the name does not say, we do not know: check the product page or buy a separate heatsink. The cheapest come first.
Sony itself adds that not every SSD meeting the requirements is guaranteed to work.
